In 2023, Shantou Marathon attracted more than 20,000 runners from 25 countries and regions. The main venue is located in Huaqiao Park and Haibin Road, and the starting and ending points of marathon and half marathon are in the open square section of Haibin Road. Joy starts at the open square section of Haibin Road and ends at People's Square.

The track mainly passes through Haibin Road, Small Park Area, Zhongshan East Road and East Coast Avenue, and passes through many famous Shantou landmarks such as Open Square, People's Square, Small Park arcade complex, seaside promenade, Stone Battery Park, Overseas Chinese Park, East Coast Park and Jinwan Park.

It not only shows the glorious course of Shantou city development, but also shows the natural environment and living space for the sustainable development of Shantou, a harmonious and livable city. Compared with previous years, there are fewer Zhongtai overpass and Xinjinhe Bridge in the east section of the track, which reduces the difficulty of climbing and allows the players to achieve better results.
