What are ice dolls and snow dolls?

Ice Wa Xue Wa is a Chinese ice and snow cartoon mascot designed by the Winter Games Center of the State Sports General Administration and Lu Xun Art Institute. It was officially unveiled at the launch ceremony of the 6th National Mass Ice and Snow Season on December 12, 2019. The two dolls wear tiger-head hats, tiger-head shoes, auspicious cloud scarves around their necks, and ice longevity locks and snowflake sachets slung across their bodies. They cleverly combine the characteristics of traditional Chinese culture with the style of ice and snow sports, with the purpose of further promoting China Ice and snow culture.
