Diana's charity behavior. English version! thank you

Princess Diana tried to create a new public identity after her divorce from Charles on August 28th.

Although deprived of the prestigious title of "Your Highness", Diana won a group of followers and was described by Washington post as "a kind alternative monarch"

She made high-profile visits to Bosnia and Angola, opposed anti-personnel mines, and continued to work for AIDS organizations and children's charities.

She once said that she wanted to be an ambassador, "the queen in people's hearts", and Prime Minister Tony Blair thought that she should continue her good work because "she won a lot of respect and admiration."

To the public, enterprising Diana seems to be a refreshing substitute for members of the Windsor royal family, who are considered to care more about themselves than others. An early London poll showed that only 2 1% of the respondents thought that the royal family "cared about those who really needed help".

As if to emphasize her new image and independence, Diana asked Christie's auction house to auction 79 dresses collected during her five years as Windsor's wife/Kloc-0. All the proceeds from the June auction were donated to charity.

"These skirts really don't suit her life now," said Meredith Etherington-Smith, the marketing director of Christie's who participated in the auction. "She left the past where it should be-the past."

As for her private life, the most photographed woman in the world seems to have kept a safe distance from her companions until she gave up her reserve with Dodi Fayed, and the millionaire died with her in a Paris car accident.

Since their relationship was made public this month, Diana and Fayed have been happy to let the media capture the tender and passionate moments.

It is reported that their last day together was a typical romance-having dinner in a two-star restaurant in hotel ritz owned by Fayed's father, and then spending the night in a private villa across the Seine.

But the couple have never been there, and Diana's hope of spending a low-key weekend in Paris with her new partner ended in tragedy.
