Thirty-five people including Master Jianzhen and his disciples set sail from Yangzhou. When they crossed the sea for the fifth time, they encountered a hurricane and drifted thousands of miles to Zhenzhou (today's Sanya City) Ningyuan River Estuary (today's Haishan Wonders Scenic Area area), has no strength at all. People on Nanshan discovered them and rescued them. As soon as they touched the ground of Nanshan, their energy came up. They lived in Zhenzhou for more than a year, built Dayun Temple and spread Buddhist culture.

This incident spread to ten people and hundreds of people, so people called Nanshan Fairy Mountain. More and more people come to Nanshan to play and live.
