The Chinese Revolutionary History Museum, formerly known as the Chinese History Museum, is a national first-class museum. Its main tasks are to collect important historical relics of the country, display the long and splendid historical civilization of China, conduct archaeological research on historical relics of China, and make use of cultural relics for social education.

Formerly known as Beiping National Museum of History, it was established in the preparation office of imperial academy Chenggen on 19 12, and then moved to Duanmen to Wumen (north of Tiananmen Square), and opened at 1926+00+00.
