On the Cultural Phenomenon of Cantonese

I'm Cantonese in Guangzhou, but I've been absorbing the culture of Cantonese.

When I was a child, I remember that when I was 1 year old, please put up signs in Mandarin everywhere, but none of us spoke Mandarin. Even the teacher spoke Mandarin until the university. I didn't speak more than 1 sentences in Mandarin.

Generally, I can use Cantonese as much as possible, but don't say anything if I can't.

But as soon as I speak Mandarin, I thought I knew Mandarin, but I just didn't want to speak it < P > But things happened. One of my dorm students was from Sichuan, so I began to want to communicate with him and wanted to speak Mandarin, but I found it difficult to speak it. I felt particularly uncomfortable < P > I didn't speak Mandarin fluently until I practiced for a month. My previous view that I could speak Mandarin but didn't want to speak it was wrong < P > What I said in Cantonese changed with my parents. It's a little different from what my grandmother said.

My generation has a lot of new words, but some old words used by my grandmother are gradually forgotten by the new generation.

The difference between Cantonese and other local languages is that he is a little "advanced" than other local languages because of human factors such as economy, Hong Kong and so on.

Many people learn Cantonese but rarely hear people say that they want to learn any provincial dialect. This is also a big difference.

A potential discrimination

For example, 99.99999% of a local girl in Guangzhou's boyfriend won't be a foreigner

But many girls from other provinces are from Guangzhou, which is human nature. People yearn for heights

Cantonese is more advanced than other dialects because of economic factors

If Guangdong's economy is like Tibet's, Cantonese will be rubbish
