High-speed railway, referred to as high-speed railway for short, refers to a railway system with high design standards and high speed for the safe running of trains. These appellations are not serious, because for most people, there is not much substantial difference in ride experience and time efficiency, whether it is the ordinary EMU on the express train or the high-speed EMU on the high-speed train, but it is in sharp contrast with the traditional ordinary-speed railway.
