As far as stage magic is concerned, it can be integrated with various performing arts, such as dance, drama, etc... Therefore, when the audience appreciates it, they can not only see the magic of magic, but also You can feel the effect of combining with other performing arts and complementing each other. As for close-range magic, the magician is right next to you. Whether it's playing cards or coins, you can not only watch it carefully, but you can even participate in it personally. This is another kind of appreciation pleasure.

Frankly speaking: magic is inherently fake, but the most important thing is that the principle of any magic, no matter how simple, is the result of the designer’s intelligence and hard work. Many years ago, when most people thought of a magician, what immediately came to mind was wearing a tacky tuxedo on the stage, taking a rabbit out of a hat, or drinking three times into an empty box. However, thanks to the times, magicians have begun to get rid of such traditional impressions. They may dress like you and me, and instead of pulling rabbits out of hats, they predict the future, turn back time, or guess Your thoughts and all kinds of superpowers. On the stage, magicians conjure large objects such as airplanes, helicopters, cars, and even trains, combined with sophisticated high-tech stage special effects, integrating superb drama, dance and other fields. Magic is no longer magic, but a diversified entertainment performance.

In contrast, the audience also gradually grew up, and they began to understand that appreciating magic means enjoying the fun of being "cheated". The point is not how the magician achieves these magical effects, but how much fun these "performances" can bring you. I often say that watching a magic show is like watching a movie. Appreciate the acting skills of the actors, the director's expressive techniques, and the fascinating plot, rather than studying how the movie was shot. When we look at a magic show, the angle of appreciation should be the magician's acting skills, expression methods, creativity, etc., rather than guessing how the magician changed? This way you can get the most fun out of it.

In January of this year, I was invited to perform at the World Magic Symposium in Las Vegas, USA, and met a magician from Mexico. He performed a series of incredible coin magic tricks in front of famous magicians from all over the world, leaving all the magicians dumbfounded and completely confused as to how he did it? For magicians, due to their limited understanding of magic, they rarely have the opportunity to experience the feeling of being cheated. His performance reminded me of the incredible and wonderful shock I felt when I first started to experience magic. And when the Mexican magician was about to explain the secrets of magic, everyone present, including me, immediately ran away, covering their ears and unwilling to listen, because we wanted to keep the magic and beauty of magic in our hearts. . We all know that once you know the secret behind a magic trick, it's no longer fun.

The essence and spirit of magic is to entertain you with incredible phenomena. People often ask: Why are there always people making trouble, not cooperating, and trying to expose the magician's magic during magic performances? According to my experience, the chance of encountering a truly uncooperative audience is very slim (less than 10%). If you encounter such an audience, most of the responsibility lies with the performer himself. If your performance lacks the above The two basic elements of magic (magic and entertainment), then the audience will have various uncooperative attitudes. If your performance makes the other party find it very incredible (this requires contact and experience, not just magic techniques, the important thing is the performance way) and find it interesting, then they will definitely not go against you again. Think about it, if you watched a very good-looking and wonderful movie today, you would be intoxicated in its plot and appreciate the actors. What about acting? Or guessing how the movie was shot? Of course, if someone wants to guess how the movie was shot regardless of the plot, no matter what movie they watch, then this person had better not watch any movie.
