Beijing stops sales of four categories of drugs to people who buy drugs with fever symptoms

The "four categories of drugs" include fever-reducing, cough-relieving, antiviral and antibiotic drugs, which can also be called "one-reducing, one-stopping and two-antibiotic" drugs. The functions and main treatments of the "four types of drugs" are mainly for fever, cough, fatigue, etc. These symptoms are similar to the initial symptoms caused by the new coronavirus. The Municipal Food and Drug Administration has urged and guided pharmacies in the city to post reminders of "11 symptoms of COVID-19 and the addresses of nearby fever clinics" on their stores to guide people with relevant symptoms to seek medical treatment in fever clinics in a timely manner.

The second is to comprehensively strengthen the closed-loop management of information registration, reporting and return visits for purchasing "four categories" of drugs. For those who purchase "four categories" of drugs, pharmacies across the city strictly follow the prescribed procedures and complete real-name sales registrations to ensure that the registration information is complete, authentic, accurate and traceable, and promptly report the information to the epidemic prevention and control department designated by the district government.

The third is to further sort out the list of "four categories" of drugs and comprehensively guide the sales of pharmacies.

The fourth is to strengthen supervision, inspection and audit and law enforcement, continue to maintain a high-pressure posture, and impose the most severe penalties on illegal pharmacies.
