1. Raise awareness, clarify responsibilities and strengthen leadership.

Our school is a rural middle school. In the past, teachers and students were used to speaking and listening to Tangxian dialect. The far-reaching significance of promoting Putonghua and the responsibility of schools in promoting Putonghua and standardizing Chinese characters have not been well understood. To this end, we organized the teachers and students of the whole school to study the relevant documents of provinces, cities and counties and the spirit of the conference, and learned the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on Common Language and Characters. Through learning, the majority of teachers realize that it is the responsibility and obligation of the school to do a good job in language and writing. It is related to the reunification of the motherland and national unity. It is recognized that speaking Mandarin well and writing standardized Chinese characters are also important contents of quality education, and are the requirements of comprehensively improving students' quality and cultivating patriotic feelings. School is the basic position of language standardization. All teachers and students should consciously participate in the "double promotion" work and become the main force in popularizing Putonghua and promoting standardized Chinese characters. On this basis, the school signed a "Responsibility Letter for Language and Writing Work" with each teacher.

While raising awareness, the school has set up a "language and writing work leading group" headed by the principal to comprehensively lead the language and writing work of the school. And also set up a "language working group" headed by the teaching director.

Focusing on the working group, a four-in-one popularization network of "leadership, publicity, training and supervision" has been established. The language working group specifically organizes language activities such as Putonghua training for teachers and students, guides the teaching and research group to check and assess the implementation of language work in teachers' teaching, guides the League branch to organize students to carry out oral practice activities, and creates a popular atmosphere through radio stations. In addition, we also hired teachers Wang X and Yu X, who have a high level of Putonghua, as Putonghua counselors to train teachers regularly. Combined with the activities of Putonghua Publicity Week, we also selected students as "popularization promoters" as honorary awards to students, who presided over the broadcast of the school's "Youth Melody" radio station to promote students' Putonghua. At the end of last year, we set up an inspector mechanism to promote Putonghua, so that teachers and students can take turns to be "Putonghua inspectors" to supervise the use of Putonghua and standardized characters by teachers and students and provide information for "Orthography Columns" in schools and classes. In this way, the Putonghua training network of our school has been formed from the school affairs committee to all functional departments, from teachers to students, which has further strengthened the "popularization" work of our school.

3, improve the system, vigorously promote and strengthen management.

In order to comprehensively promote the "double push" work in our school, on the one hand, we put the language and writing work on the important agenda of our school, which runs through all daily management, and we have formulated the "Language and Writing Work System" of our school. When revising other systems, clear requirements are put forward for language and writing work. It is stipulated in Teachers' Daily Work System, Detailed Rules for the Evaluation of Excellent Courses, Teachers' Performance Appraisal Scheme and Students' Daily Work System that teachers must write standardized Chinese characters on the blackboard, students' homework comments, lesson preparation, lecture notes and students' homework, compositions, notes and letters. Teachers and students must speak Mandarin in classes, meetings and other public places.

On the other hand, it is to strengthen the propaganda of language and writing work and create a strong atmosphere of language and writing work. We combine the regular publicity with the annual publicity week, and combine the on-campus publicity with the off-campus publicity to create momentum by writing slogans, broadcasting, writing blackboard newspapers, and telling experiences. Write and sort out 20 publicity slogans inside and outside the school. The school "Youth Melody" radio station arranges 5- 10 minutes of broadcasting every day. In order to standardize the language, we have set up a "phonetic orthography publicity column" inside and outside the classroom, which has created a good public opinion environment for popularizing Putonghua and promoting standardized Chinese characters.

4. Adhere to classroom teaching as the main position and integrate language work into classroom teaching. Not only has oral English teaching been strengthened, but students are also given oral English tests twice a year. In all aspects of teaching, we also put forward the requirements of language and writing. We regard standardizing the use of Chinese characters in teachers' lesson preparation, writing on the blackboard and correcting homework, and the use of Putonghua in the classroom as an important part of teachers' assessment, which is included in the year-end comprehensive assessment of teachers, effectively promoting the implementation of the work system.

5. Strengthen the training of teachers' basic Putonghua skills and standardized characters. Every year, according to the actual situation of teachers in our school, we make a teacher training plan and train teachers in basic skills. In addition to receiving the guidance of Putonghua teachers in township centers on a regular basis, teachers with the highest level of Putonghua in our school are also arranged to train other teachers (especially those who have not obtained Putonghua level certificates) to improve their Putonghua level. 1 1 Every April, during the teachers' listening and speaking month, we comment on each teacher's chalk, pen and mandarin in combination with listening and speaking activities, urging them to strengthen basic skills training and improve their reading and writing level. 6. Insist on infiltrating the language and writing work into the school's moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic activities, and promote Putonghua and standardize Chinese characters in rich activities. Our school has always attached great importance to the second classroom activities. Carrying out colorful language activities can not only enliven campus cultural life and create a good environment for speaking Mandarin and writing standardized Chinese characters, but also stimulate teachers and students' enthusiasm for speaking Mandarin and using standardized Chinese characters, and cultivate students' language literacy in the activities. In combination with reading education activities, speech contests were held with different themes, such as advocating science and opposing cults, China going global, striving to build a well-off society, remembering martyrs, not forgetting national humiliation, and standardizing the mind, and poetry recitation contests were organized, such as following in the footsteps of great men, Chinese soul and I'll tell you, teacher. "Speaking under the National Flag" has been hosted by students. Award-winning works of teachers and students are often displayed in school publicity windows. The development of these activities has effectively promoted the process of popularizing Putonghua and standardizing Chinese characters in our school.

7. Do a good job in publicity week. We regard "Popularization and Publicity Week" as the "gas station" for the "double promotion" work in our school, carefully arranged and earnestly implemented. In the annual publicity week, we hold a poetry recitation competition around the publicity theme of "learning Mandarin well and improving Chinese literacy". Through the competition, several students were selected as "popularization propagandists" in our school. In last year's "Popularization Week", we held a flag-raising ceremony competition including "Speaking under the National Flag" in conjunction with the "National Spirit Month" activity, and launched a special blackboard newspaper selection with the theme of "Putonghua-50 years of popularization in the new century".

Over the past few years, with the care of leaders at all levels and the unity and cooperation of all teachers and students, our "double push" work has achieved certain results. The standard of Putonghua of teachers and students has been greatly improved. More than 20 teachers and students of our school won prizes in lectures, reading, essay writing, calligraphy and writing competitions organized by the township center. In several middle school students' speeches and essay competitions organized by the county bureau of culture and education, five people in our school have won prizes successively. Teacher Yu X won the first prize of the "Class Teacher Quality Competition" in the county. She and teacher Jia X also won the first and second prizes in the county-wide "Basic Skills Competition for Primary and Secondary School Teachers" respectively. Our school has also won the title of "Advanced Unit of Language and Writing in Baoding".

However, while affirming the achievements, we also clearly see that there are still many problems in the "double push" work in our school. First, some teachers can't use Mandarin accurately and freely; Second, there are still a few teachers whose Putonghua level needs to be further improved; Third, students don't realize that they communicate in Putonghua after class. In the future, we will strengthen the training of teachers' Putonghua application ability, continue to implement the spirit of the Notice of the Education Bureau on Strengthening the Cultivation of Learning Habits of Primary and Secondary School Students, and cultivate students' correct writing habits and good interest in reading aloud.
