The week of public welfare labor is about to end. During these days of labor, I have learned a lot. Labor transforms people.

I think it should be that we understand a lot of truths that we usually don’t understand during labor. Slowly grow up and change yourself. During labor, I learned many of my shortcomings. When I walked into the office, I didn't know what to do. Looks very clean and tidy. In reality, when you are looking for a job, the boss hires someone to reduce the burden and help the company. Everything depends on what the boss says and then he does it. If I were the boss, I would not want such efficiency. Maybe it is not difficult for me to work, but it is not so easy to do it well. Still doing the same job the next day. If I don't do it seriously, I won't notice that there is dust on the window sill again, and the work will be different. I study accounting, and my daily work is similar, but I can't be careless and must take it seriously every day.

"No pain, no gain" will only be known if you experience it yourself. How much you pay will be what you get in return. Only if you do it carefully can you see clean tables and chairs. This labor is not very difficult. Considering that our parents have to work every day, we only need to sit in the classroom and study without any burden. Our parents worked hard to earn money for us to study. We should cherish the life in front of us. Thinking about our parents who didn't even have enough to eat when they were young, let alone study, we are much happier than our parents. I was a little tired at first, but I was very happy and felt a sense of accomplishment. Just like a table eating the food you cooked together, you will feel happy in your heart. What I feel deeply is that everything is not that easy. Only by constantly overcoming difficulties can you succeed. Do things seriously and down to earth. If you study hard, you will get good grades; if you work hard, you will get results. Through your own efforts, no matter what the result is, you will definitely benefit from the process. I learned some new knowledge and saw my own shortcomings. I only follow the steps step by step, lack of training myself, and not flexible enough. This is what I realized during this labor. Chapter 2: Public welfare labor experience

This semester, we organized a public welfare labor in accordance with the school's regulations. This public welfare work is of great significance to us. We contacted the communities around the school and finally decided on the Qingjiao Garden next to Renhe Apartment. The general content of our activities is: understanding the basic situation of the community, cleaning the community, trimming flowers and plants, and cleaning community public slogans. Visit lonely elderly people in the community, help them with housework, and provide psychological guidance and comfort. Through this labor, I mainly want to exercise the traditional virtues of being helpful to others. Strengthen the spirit of cooperation among classmates and improve class cohesion and combat effectiveness. Closely focus on the theme of the activity and effectively improve the core competitiveness of the students. During the event, the school was actively promoted to improve its image. We have specially arranged students to prune flowers and plants. Under the guidance of community workers, they work very seriously. Not only did it make the community more beautiful, but I also exercised myself, experienced the fun of pruning flowers and plants, and also mastered some basic methods of pruning. Some students went to clean the unit door. There are about 30 units in this community. We carefully cleaned each unit. For those blind spots, our classmates patiently cleaned them bit by bit. We basically wiped every possible place. In addition to cleaning the unit door, it also includes cleaning the ubiquitous small advertisements, cleaning the stair handrails, and cleaning the corridors. We also arranged students to be responsible for the road sanitation in the community. They worked tirelessly with brooms and dustpans to sweep from one end of the community to the other, making the community cleaner and more beautiful. Since it is not convenient for us to use water, there are students who specialize in delivering clean water. With the help of community staff, they borrowed two cars to go back and forth between the water collection point and the water point. Very busy. During our labor, we did not forget to communicate with the elderly. We chatted with them, introduced the general situation of our activities, and received support and guidance from some old gentlemen and old ladies.

Through conversation, we learned that there are a large number of elderly people in the community who live a plain life and enjoy this kind of plain happiness. They teach us to be content with what we have, to experience life seriously, the ups and downs, and to prepare us mentally for social life in the future. At the same time, they said they were very grateful to us for volunteering in the community, appreciated our efforts, and hoped that we could organize such activities more often in the future. We have also learned a lot from them that we cannot usually learn. We will continue to summarize and learn from their valuable life experiences. Finally, we took a group photo with relevant people in the community. Some of our students did not forget to wear the school badge and used all possible methods to achieve the purpose of exercise and promote the school at the same time. This activity has greatly improved our labor skills, which will be of great help to our independent life in the future. During the activity, we came into contact with a lot of unknown people. This not only exercised our interpersonal skills, but also was very helpful for us to enter the workplace in the future. Through communication with them, we understand a lot of things that we cannot learn in school. These experiences will be of great help to our future work, study, and life. In addition, we always pay attention to our identity during activities. We represent HKUST, and our image is the image of HKUST. On the one hand, it strengthens the sense of ownership, and on the other hand, it carries out strong positive publicity for the alma mater, striving to establish a better reputation and a high external image for our school in as many places as possible.

Work in the morning light, no matter how sleepy or sweating; endure the pain and work, no matter how dusty or out of breath. From the stairs to the corridor, from the walls to the glass, the week's labor class came and went in a hurry. There is joy in the bitterness, sweetness in the sourness, leaving endless thoughts.

Labor creates beauty, which is the perfect combination of mental labor and physical labor. Watered by our sweat, a teaching building has been completely renovated inside and out—from the garbage scattered to the bright and clean windows, which is the result of our endless efforts.

Labor cultivates our hard-working spirit. In the past, I was a "little sun" who opened his mouth when food came and stretched out his hands when clothes came. I am lazy at home, not diligent in all aspects of my body, and do not distinguish between grains and grains. Taking labor class for the first time felt fresh. After a day of exercise, my back hurts. The next morning, I was reluctant to get up, and as a result, I missed the time, creating a vicious cycle. After a few days of hard work, I have changed. I am no longer afraid of getting dirty or tired, and I am just like a worker.

Labor makes us realize that "unity is strength, and when everyone adds fuel, the flames will rise." In this labor class, three girls and I were responsible for cleaning the teaching area. It can be said that there are few people and a heavy task. We make overall plans, each assumes his or her own responsibilities, cooperates tacitly, and helps each other to gradually shorten working hours, improve labor efficiency, and improve labor quality.

Labor has taught us that no matter what we do, we must persevere and never give up until we achieve our goals. This is true for labor, this is true for learning, and this is true for work. Only by identifying the goal and being down-to-earth can we "cut the wood with a rope, and penetrate the stone with a drop of water." In the future of my life, I will carry forward the excellent quality of hard work, face all setbacks, be unyielding, and move forward courageously.

Labor has cultivated our social practice ability. It made me realize that textbook knowledge is not enough. I will bravely shoulder heavy responsibilities on the long road of life, forge ahead with determination, fear no hardships and dangers, and work hard to achieve success! Chapter 3: Experience of charity work

I learned a lot from this charity work and gained many profound principles of life. Community service has inspired me to look for highlights in public welfare work that can educate and enlighten me, and guide me to understand and feel about society. In the nursing home, I experienced the loneliness of the older generation, our happiness and selfishness. Serving the elderly fills my heart with a sense of pride. And this kind of pride is not something that can be experienced normally. Public welfare labor does not take into account remuneration, does not seek personal gain, and does not care about anything; public welfare labor is selfless labor, and it also cultivates our enthusiasm for caring about public affairs. The sense of glory of participating in public welfare work can shape your own beautiful soul.

This public welfare work made me personally experience the glorious feeling of labor. Public welfare labor has also strengthened my concept of labor, helped us establish a correct outlook on life and values, and prevented me from forming the bad habit of being inactive and unwilling to work. Public welfare labor can not only benefit society, but also cultivate sentiments and beautify the soul. As high school students, we should voluntarily participate in labor for the benefit of the public. The public welfare work we talk about is based on the premise that no reward is considered. Actively participating in public welfare work is to do your best for society and is a manifestation of love for work. Community service activities improve our social practice capabilities. It has guided us to contact and understand society and enhance our sense of social responsibility and social adaptability. Today, when competition is so fierce, independent training and social baptism are so important for us middle school students who are born with calves. In today's world of super-fast updates, how to adapt to society is also a difficulty we are about to face. For us now, the sooner we come into contact with this ever-changing society, the better we can adapt to it.
