Under the leadership of the College Party Committee and the strong support of all departments, the Department of Financial Media was formally established on June 6th, 2006. As the' new force' of Guangdong University of Finance, all the teachers and students have made great progress in teaching, scientific research and student activities with the cooperation of Qi Xin in the past six years.

The major of Chinese language and literature in our department has three major directions: Chinese language and literature (financial media) and Chinese language and literature (economic secretarial).

Our department pays attention to improving students' practical ability, and has built 16 off-campus practical teaching bases (Guangzhou Bank, Shenzhen Development Tianhe Sub-branch, Shiguang Media, Investment Express, Xunshi Media, China Little Reporter, Meizhou Daily, Guangdong Radio, etc.) and four on-campus practical teaching bases (school newspaper, Internet TV station, school-run and party-run secretarial practice bases).
