The Concept of Physical Education Department in Tsinghua University

The basic idea of Tsinghua Sports is to educate people, face all employees and pursue excellence. It is in this atmosphere that Tsinghua University's sports work has taken its own steps in time. It not only inherits the fine sports tradition accumulated and continued for decades, but also incorporates new ideas, viewpoints and methods with the development of society and the changes of people's thinking modes and values, which makes the concept of "fighting for the health of the motherland for at least 50 years" in Tsinghua campus transformed into Tsinghua people's conscious physical exercise behavior. Carry forward the fine sports tradition. It is hoped that through our efforts, school physical education will rank among the first-class universities in China in six aspects: physical education teaching, collective activities, competitive sports, sports research, teachers and facilities. We will inherit the fine traditions with enterprising, innovative, scientific and pragmatic spirit, keep pace with the times, promote the all-round development of sports in our school, and make school sports not only an important part of school education, but also an important supporting force for national and social sports.
