The International Equestrian Federation (FIA for short) was established in Paris on1October 24th with the number 192 1 1. The founders are Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Norway, the United States, France, Sweden and Japan. The working languages are French and English. FIA is the only international organization leading international equestrian sports. The events include dressage, horse riding, jumping, three-day race, carriage race, endurance race and jumping. FIA is a member of the International Federation of Sports Federations. The Chinese Equestrian Association joined the FIA 1983 in June.
