The 9th National Paralympic Games and the 6th Special Olympics were successfully concluded in Chengdu on the afternoon of 19. Wei Hong, Governor of Sichuan Province and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 9th National Paralympic Games and the 6th Special Olympics, attended the closing ceremony and announced the closing of the Games.

With the children's chorus of "Runway under the Blue Sky", the flags of 35 delegations from all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions entered the stadium. Li Dengju, Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Ninth National Paralympic Games and the Sixth Special Olympics, Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions presided over the closing ceremony.

Lu Yong, Chairman of China Disabled Persons' Federation, made a closing speech. Li Yingchuan, Assistant Director of the State General Administration of Sport, delivered a speech.

The 9th National Paralympic Games and the 6th Special Olympics are sponsored by the China Disabled Persons' Federation and the State Sports General Administration, and undertaken by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government. There are four competition areas: Chengdu, Mianyang, Suining and Meishan. In April and May, five preliminary events and eight special Olympics events were held in Chengdu, Mianyang and Suining respectively. On September 12- 19, Paralympic Games 12 were held in Chengdu and Meishan.

For the first time, the National Paralympic Games and the National Special Olympics were combined into one, and 29 sports * * * attended by 5,344 athletes produced 156 1 gold medals, exceeding the world record of 5 1, breaking the national record of 204 and tying three.

At the awarding ceremony of the closing ceremony, 3 1 delegations from Beijing and Tianjin won sports ethics awards, and delegations from Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions won commemorative awards. The 10th National Paralympic Games and the 7th Special Olympics will be held in Tianjin. Qu Mushiha, vice governor of Sichuan Province, handed the flag to Li Yingchuan, assistant director of the State Sports General Administration, and Lu Yong, chairman of the China Disabled Persons' Federation. Cao Xiaohong, vice mayor of Tianjin, took the torch from Lu Yong.

After the closing ceremony, the literary performance with the theme of "Together" began. The three chapters of "dream", "beat" and "love" explain the happiness of sports, integrate the concept of "integration of disabled people and healthy people", show the humanistic care for disabled people, and show the spirit of self-improvement and tenacious struggle of disabled athletes.
