Do Koreans know Chinese characters?

Korean people nowadays basically don’t know Chinese characters. . . Not to mention listening, speaking, reading and the like. .

Speak in Chinese. . They definitely don't understand. . . Unless this person understands Chinese

But they sometimes use Chinese characters in their slogans on some very formal occasions. .

But relatively few. . .
