These seven characters can be seen everywhere, whether it is a loudspeaker broadcast or slogans all over the urban and rural areas. Among the quotations from Chairman Mao, this sentence was the most quoted and the loudest one at that time. The slogan of "preparing for war, preparing for famine and serving the people" is directly related to the compilation of the third five-year plan of the Republic of China.
