The difference between business slogans

Business slogans are promotional advertising phrases used by operators to promote goods or services. It often appears at the same time as the trademark and is closely related to the trademark. However, the business slogan does not have the function of identifying the business object. It can only use concise sentences to praise the characteristics and service attitude of the product.

The important differences between business slogans and trademarks are:

(1) The stability of the two is different.

Once a trademark is registered, the owner may not arbitrarily change the combination of words and pictures of the registered trademark, and it has relative stability; however, business slogans must follow changes in the market, consumer pursuits, and dealer marketing methods. Adjustments and changes at any time.

(2) The exclusivity of the two is different.

After a trademark is registered, its exclusive right is enjoyed by the trademark owner, and others may not use it without the consent of the right holder; individual business slogans, such as reliable quality, high quality and low price, etc., do not have the ability to distinguish the origin of the goods. Functions cannot be exclusive and unique to one person; some business slogans, due to their uniqueness, can be exclusive to a certain enterprise: for example, the business slogan of Haier air conditioner is Haier sincere and will last forever.

(3)The laws protected by the two are different.

After a trademark is registered, it is protected by the "Trademark Law"; for specific business slogans, if it meets the conditions of a work stipulated in the "Copyright Law", it can be protected by the "Copyright Law", or it can be Protected under the Anti-Unlawful Competition Law.
