What does the network language pvc mean?

PVC is the abbreviation of English polyvinyl chloride, and its Chinese scientific name is polyvinyl chloride.

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC for short) is a polymer obtained by polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) in initiators such as peroxides and azo compounds or under the action of light and heat according to the free radical polymerization mechanism. Vinyl chloride homopolymer and vinyl chloride polymer are collectively referred to as vinyl chloride resin.

PVC is a kind of white powder with amorphous structure, and its branching degree is small. It begins to decompose at the glass transition temperature of 77~90℃ and around 65438 070℃, and has poor stability to light and heat. When it is higher than 100℃ or exposed to sunlight for a long time, it will decompose to produce hydrogen chloride, which will further catalyze and decompose automatically, leading to discoloration and rapid decline of physical and mechanical properties. In practical application, stabilizers must be added to improve it.

Generally, the molecular weight of industrial PVC is in the range of 50,000 ~110,000, and it has great polydispersity. The molecular weight increases with the decrease of polymerization temperature, and there is no fixed melting point. It begins to soften at 80 ~ 85℃ and becomes viscoelastic at 130℃, which is 160 ~ 180℃. It has good mechanical properties, the tensile strength is about 60MPa, and the impact strength is 5 ~ 10 kJ/m2. Has excellent dielectric properties.
