I remember passing by here by chance many years ago. I once envied the booming industrial development here, with factories, chimneys, and cars coming and going. Now, things have changed somewhat.

Follow the cement pavement of the back street and enter the Xiaolihe Industrial Zone. Those enterprises that have successfully transformed and are undergoing transformation are intertwined with the old and the new, as if they are wandering in the time and space of history. The gilded signboards and huge sculptures at the factory entrance, as well as the pictures and slogans plastered all over the exterior walls, all explain the stories that happened here bit by bit. The barren mountains have turned into mountains of gold and silver; the poor farmers have turned into well-off families. Although the people of Xiaolihe are happy and proud, they always feel that something is missing.

Just like the township enterprises with flowers in full bloom, they have brought glory to the people of Xiaolihe. That scene will be forever fixed in the time and space of history. Looking back, I was shocked to find that the extensive development model with high energy consumption and low output in the past caused a certain amount of damage and pollution to the environment, and also left too many regrets here. If we look at it from an economic point of view, Xiaolihe may have all the advantages. But in the face of the deterioration of the ecological environment, this advantage seems to have become a shortcoming. In the face of difficulties, Xiaolihe did not stand still. In order to get rid of poverty, to benefit the countryside, and to revitalize our homeland, we were able to take advantage of the right time, location, and people to start a business with hard work in the face of poverty; now, for a beautiful home, for sustainable development, for green water and blue sky, and for future generations In future generations, the people of Xiaolihe will also be able to make a comeback.

Looking in all directions, the mountains are winding and form a large flat land. Neat factory buildings are lined up on a hillside that is not too tall. Those towering chimneys, those huge gantry cranes, those pale slogans, those mottled rules and regulations, silently told me that I was once brilliant, but now I am eclipsed.

In the past, they made great contributions to the village's efforts to get rid of poverty and become rich. Now, for the sake of a good ecological environment, they are willing to make sacrifices, shut down when they should, and transform when they should.
