The element that appears in the US Capitol is the dome.

At the westernmost end of the central axis in Washington, D.C., the element is a circular dome with a highland 83 feet above sea level. There are eight huge oil paintings hanging on the surrounding walls, showing the history of American development.

Looking up at the dome, you can see the romantic zenith painting, with the God of Washington in the middle, the goddess of victory and the goddess of freedom on both sides of the founding president, and the goddess 13, representing the founding state of 13. It was created by Italian painter Constanyine Braimi Di in the 9th century.

The characters in the painting are more than 4 meters high, so that the audience will feel natural and realistic when they look up. Unfortunately, Braimi Di only finished part of the work, then fell off the scaffold and died a few months later. Later, his students completed the zenith painting according to the sketches left by Braimi Di, and the last blank was filled in 1953.
