The wingman keeps a certain distance from the captain in the air and carries out the captain's orders. In air combat, actively cooperate with the captain to attack the enemy, and at the same time undertake the captain's defense and cover tasks.

3. Formation: Wedge squad: used for navigation, patrol, bombing and return.

Arrow team: used for bombing

Trapezoidal team: used for sharp turns, battles, attacks and volleys.

Diamond squad: used to destroy point targets.

In addition, in modern warfare, if one side has absolute air superiority, it generally uses a single plane to perform some relatively high-value tasks (such as attacking some important military and political targets and important leaders), and the tactics are increasingly developing in the direction of "finding the enemy first, locking the enemy first, and destroying the enemy first". Therefore, some conventional tactics have gradually become training subjects and are rarely used in actual combat.
