165438+1October 18, Wuhan Communications Vocational College (referred to as "Wujiaoyuan") celebrated its 69th birthday, and * * * witnessed the launching ceremony of the one-year countdown to the 70th anniversary.

At the launching ceremony, Vice President Ji Zhongying read out the announcement of the 70th anniversary of Wuhan Communications Vocational College (No.1), and sincerely invited leaders at all levels, friends from all walks of life and alumni at home and abroad to visit the school during the 70th anniversary in 2023 to recall days of our lives and show their youthful demeanor.

From 65438 to 0953, the Ministry of Communications established a training course for long-distance aviation cadres in Wuhan, which is also the origin of running Wuhan Communications Vocational College. Over the past 69 years, with the development and changes of the transportation industry in the motherland, the school has been developing and progressing. In the meantime, the name of the school has been changed several times, and the management affiliation was transferred to Hubei Province by the Ministry of Communications in 2000.

In 2003, with the approval of Hubei Provincial People's Government, Wuhan Traffic Management Cadre College and Wuhan Waterway Industry School merged to form Wuhan Traffic Vocational College, which became an independent provincial public higher vocational college and was directly under the management of Hubei Provincial Department of Education. In 2007, the school moved to the new campus of Huangjiahu as a whole, and the school-running conditions were brand-new and the school-running strength was greatly improved.

Shen Zhou, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of Wujiaoyuan, introduced in his speech that in the past 69 years, the school has always taken "educating people for the party and the country" as its own responsibility, adhered to the school motto of "self-improvement, people with lofty ideals", and strived to overcome difficulties and forge ahead courageously under the guidance of the spirit of "struggle, pioneering, perseverance, responsibility, tolerance and dedication".

The school has always been running schools around the transportation industry, focusing on high-quality development, promoting connotation construction and continuously improving the quality of personnel training. It has delivered 1.6 million traffic management cadres and high-quality technical and technical talents for the national transportation industry and local economic development, forming a distinctive school-running feature and accumulating a profound school-running foundation.

Through the joint efforts and continuous struggles of generations of military communication college, the social influence of the school has been continuously improved and fruitful results have been achieved. Shen Zhou introduced that the school is an excellent school evaluated by the Ministry of Education, a demonstration vocational college in Hubei Province, a high-quality vocational college in Hubei Province, and a class A project construction unit in a high-level vocational college in Hubei Province.
