Should Koreans be respected?

According to field observations, Korean people have different attitudes towards the Chinese. Not only do different people have different attitudes, but the same person also has different attitudes in different aspects.

For example, when you ask for directions on the street, the other person knows that you are Chinese and will enthusiastically tell you how to go and even accompany you to your destination. However, if you ask him what he thinks of Chinese people, No matter what your opinion, the other person may tell you that he doesn’t like Chinese people at all.

As another example, Korean society has diverse views. There are people who find it incredible that Chinese people are so warm and friendly as if they are relatives, and there are also people who have extremely serious nationalistic tendencies and are almost NC.

I have met Koreans in South Korea who take the initiative to say that China must work hard and be strong. I have also met Koreans who said that their children are in China and hope that they will not come back and treat them as Chinese. The innocent and lovely taxi driver uncle also met an old Korean gentleman in a third country who took the initiative to tell me that his ancestors came from China in the Song Dynasty and wrote an impromptu Chinese poem to express his joy at seeing Chinese people.

Similarly, I also encountered Koreans sitting next to me on the KTX train in South Korea who took the initiative to strike up a conversation. When they learned that I was Chinese, they provoked the "topic" about Goguryeo. Of course, they were dismissed. I was scolded so hard that I lost my voice; I met an old Korean man who learned that I was Chinese after I spoke Korean, and actually said to himself, "I am not a decent Korean, but I am a little rabbit of the Chinese government." "I also met a stubborn Korean who said to me: "I love the Chinese very much, but for your country...".

Of course, the above-mentioned situations are only a minority. Most Koreans have complicated views on the Chinese. On the one hand, many people know that the Korean economy is highly dependent on the Chinese market, and that China has strong political, economic and military strength. China is developing very rapidly, but at the same time, it feels that China has bullied them for a long time in history. It feels that China has a so-called "big responsibility" for the current situation on the Korean Peninsula. It also feels that the quality of some people in South Korea is particularly poor [This is partly true. For example, most of the international students there do not study well. In the same way, it is impossible for outstanding talents to go to third-rate countries, right? ]; But in the final analysis, Koreans have a deep sense of inferiority in front of the Chinese. At the same time, they are very face-saving and like to pretend to be arrogant. In fact, in this situation, as long as you peel off the opponent's arrogant mask, the opponent will immediately feel like a deflated ball.

To summarize my personal opinion: Koreans are not bad in nature, but their overall standards are not high. Most people have simple thinking, impulsive personality, lack of planning ability, and weak persistence. They have mixed feelings about us.
