Announcement on the Closure of Old Leshan Scenic Area

Old Leshan, also known as Leshan, is located 1 kilometers northwest of Queshan County and 9 kilometers away from Zhumadian City. It consists of nine peaks with different heights. Formerly known as Langshan, according to historical records, Dazhong Xiangfu in the Northern Song Dynasty was renamed Leshan in five years because it avoided the name of Zhao, the ancestor of the Song Dynasty. All kinds of vegetation here grow vigorously all year round, green and permanent, with bamboo in the forest, pine in strange rocks, winding paths in deep valleys and misty clouds.

there is a tiger's den on the north cliff. Whenever the breeze blows through the pine forest, Songtao roars in the cave like a tiger, hence its name. It's a steep 18 Panshan Mountain with a pool of clear spring water at the top. Sweet and palatable, dry but not dry. Because it looks like a frog, it is named "Toad Spring". Standing in Yunjingge of Leshan, you can see the vast Huaixi Plain in the east, surrounded by Leshan peaks. In the pavilion, you can enjoy the foggy sea of clouds, rocky cliffs and scattered waves, watch the red sun rise vigorously in the sea of clouds, and watch the strange glow and sunset shine at night.

There are also rich and profound historical and cultural accumulations here, taking into account the unique cultural charm of Buddhism and Taoism: there are Buddhist sites such as Beiquan Temple and Jingquan Temple where Yan Zhenqing, the most famous calligrapher in China's history, was killed. In the Ming Dynasty, Wudang Mountain in the Royal Dojo had eight palaces, two views and one worship. Li Shuo, the general who put down the anti-Tang rebellion in the Tang Dynasty and made great contributions to the world, Zhao Kuangyin, the founding emperor of the Song Dynasty, Li Zicheng, the leader of the peasant uprising in the late Ming Dynasty, Bai Qinglang and others all left their historical footprints in Leshan.
