In fact, China's mobile communication base station standards strictly conform to international and national standards. China's main standards are the Regulations on Electromagnetic Radiation Protection and the Hygienic Standard for Environmental Electromagnetic Waves issued by the State Environmental Protection Bureau and the Ministry of Health. Specifically, the national standard requires that the electric field intensity is less than 12 volts per meter or the power density is less than 40 microwatts per square centimeter. Such radiation is lower than that of TV sets and computers. Generally, the antenna height of GSM base stations is above the safe value, and there is a certain distance from residential buildings. Due to the attenuation of electromagnetic waves in the air, it will not affect the health of nearby residents.

Generally, the antenna height of a GSM base station is 35 to 55 meters, and the power density of a high-power base station with a transmission power of 20 watts in front of the antenna of 10 meter is 0.6 microwatts per square centimeter. In addition, the radiation power of multiple base stations, such as 10 base stations, is not equal to 10 times that of a single base station; On the contrary, based on the network optimization planning of digital communication technology, the higher the base station density, the lower the total radiation intensity.

From the perspective of global development, GSM network currently accounts for more than 70% of global mobile communication users. It has been used in Europe and America for many years, and there is no radiation hazard to users' health. In China's laws and regulations, the corresponding electromagnetic radiation safety standards are very strict, and only devices that meet the safety standards can access the network. As an operator, it will also strictly implement the relevant national standards, and from the user's point of view, carry out strict coverage optimization design for the location of mobile base stations to ensure the safety of residents near the base stations.
