Election procedure of political consultative conference

Legal analysis: The process of CPPCC election is as follows. The election meeting can only be held when more than one third of all members attend the election; 2. After the list of candidates is examined and approved by the Standing Committee, it will be submitted to all members for discussion, and then the Standing Committee will determine the official list of candidates according to the opinions of most members and submit it to the meeting of all members for election; 3. The election shall be conducted by secret ballot and equal election; 4. Finalize the list of elected personnel.

Legal basis: Article 45 of the Constitution of China People's Political Consultative Conference. The National Committee of China People's Political Consultative Conference has a standing committee to preside over the meeting. The Standing Committee consists of the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary-General and Standing Committee members of the National Committee. Its candidates are nominated by all parties, groups, nationalities and people from all walks of life participating in the National Committee of the China People's Political Consultative Conference through consultation and elected by the plenary session of the National Committee. The Standing Committee shall hold special meetings at least twice a year.
