Where will the dragon boat race be held this year in Changsha, Hunan?

This year is 2019, and the fifth mass dragon boat race of Hunan Province was held at Qianlong Lake in Wangcheng District, Changsha City. On the morning of June 16, the finals of the fifth Hunan Province mass dragon boat race "Qianlong Lake Cup" were held at Qianlong Lake in Wangcheng District, Changsha City. 14 dragon boat teams from various cities and states across the province competed in the cheers of tens of thousands of spectators.

This dragon boat race is a 200-meter and 500-meter straight race for a group of 12 dragon boats. There are 4 competition channels and will be conducted in the form of preliminaries, semi-finals, semi-finals, qualifying matches, small finals and finals. The dragon boats, competition groups and competition channels used by each participating team are determined by drawing lots.

The participating dragon boats were like arrows leaving the string, chasing each other, and making strong ripples on the water surface. The team members shouted neat chants and waved the paddles vigorously, presenting a lively scene of "shadows flying over the waves, thousands of swords flying, and drums splitting the waves and ringing thousands of thunders."

The shore was full of people, shouting and slogans. After fierce competition, Changsha Wangcheng Qianlong Lake Dragon Boat Team finally came out on top.

After several rounds of fierce competition, 14 dragon boat teams from 14 cities and prefectures across the province finally won the competition. Changsha Wangcheng Qianlong Lake Dragon Boat Team won the championship. The Yangshui school dragon boat team won the second and third place respectively.

Qianlong Lake in Wangcheng District has 2,800 acres of wide water and a 500-meter straight track. As one of the eight standard dragon boat competition areas in China and a national dragon boat demonstration base, Qianlong Lake has hosted the second season of the "Peaceful China Festival" China (Hunan) International Folk Fun Dragon Boat Race, Hunan "Famous Rivers and Lakes" Dragon Boat Invitational Competition, and Changsha National Fitness Festival·Qianlong Lake Dragon Boat Race and many other large-scale dragon boat races.
