It belongs to Fenghuangtai Formation in the late Middle Jurassic. It is also the closest national geological park to Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, and a rare mountain fissure spectacle in China.

The Great Rift Valley in West Anhui is located in the majestic Dabie Mountains, just like the power of immortals divides it into two, forming a long and narrow V-shaped rift valley face to face. The rift valley is about 1, 500 meters long, tens of meters wide and more than ten meters high. The valley slope is steep, mostly around 80 degrees. Four of the steepest places stand upright, and the valley is tens of meters deep and hundreds of meters high.

On the west side of the rift valley, it is a cave landform formed by the selective dissolution of running water along the weak parts of the rock structure. Later, after a series of geological movements such as weathering, large and small caves were formed on the rock walls on both sides of the rift valley, of which the largest cave can accommodate thousands of people, and the smallest cave can only accommodate an adult to curl up in it.

In addition, the special scenery of Dabie Mountain is mostly in Anhui Province, which is not well developed and publicized. There are not many people who know about the West Anhui Rift Valley, so there are few tourists.
