Brief introduction of Baotou Rare Earth Research Institute

Baotou Rare Earth Research Institute was established in 1963, directly under the former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. 1992 Joined Baotou Steel (Group) Company, the largest comprehensive research and development institution of rare earth science and technology in China. The Institute aims at the comprehensive development and utilization of rare earth resources, and is a multidisciplinary and comprehensive research and development institution focusing on rare earth metallurgy, environmental protection, new rare earth functional materials and their application in high-tech fields, rare earth upgrading the technical level of traditional industries, rare earth analysis and testing, and rare earth intelligence information. At present, the hospital has formed a standardized parent-subsidiary company system, with 12 wholly-owned, holding and shareholding companies focusing on scientific and technological development, industrial services and production and operation.
