What are the benefits of saccharified feed? What is the preparation technology of saccharified feed for dairy cows?

Saccharified feed is to smash corn feed rich in starch, and saccharify it through the action of feed itself and amylase in malt, so that part of starch in feed is converted into maltose. Saccharified feed is not only a good feed for piglets, but also a good feed for fattening pigs, which can increase appetite and promote fat accumulation. Corn, barley, sorghum and other feeds are rich in starch, generally around 70%, while the sugar content is only 0.5-2%. After saccharification, part of starch can be converted into maltose, and the sugar content can be increased to 8- 12%. Because of its sweetness, it can not only improve the palatability of feed, but also be easy to digest.

The production method of saccharified feed is as follows: firstly, put the crushed feed into a barrel, then put it into 2-2.5 times of 80-90℃ hot water, and fully stir it into paste. In order not to make the feed temperature drop rapidly, a layer of dry material about 5 cm was sprinkled on the feed surface, covered with a wooden cover, and effective heat preservation measures were taken. The saccharification time usually takes 3-4 hours, during which the feeding temperature should be kept at about 55-60℃. If the temperature is too low, it is not only opaque, but also sour. In order to speed up the saccharification process, 2% malt can be added to the dry material, and the effect is better.

The storage time of saccharified feed should not exceed 10- 14 hours, which is the same as that of prepared feed, and attention should be paid to the cleanliness of making utensils. If the storage time is too long, the cooperative utensils will be unclean and easily lead to rancidity. It is not suitable to saccharify leguminous seeds and cake with high protein content. In order to improve the nutrition of feed, increase the sweetness, make pigs love to eat, increase their appetite and promote the accumulation of fat, concentrate feed containing more starch, such as sorghum flour, corn flour, bran and rice bran, can be saccharified and fed, so that part of starch can be converted into maltose, and the sugar content in feed can be increased from 1% to 10%.

It can improve the palatability of feed and is easy to digest. The preparation method of saccharified feed is to crush corn, sorghum and other feeds that need saccharification, put them into wooden barrels or tanks, and then add appropriate amount of salt and minerals to stir evenly. Add 2.0-2.5 parts of boiling hot water to 0.5 cm feed, stir evenly while scalding, fully stir into paste, spread it out and put it in layer by layer. After loading, cover the feed with 1 layer of rice bran or sacks, and then cover and keep warm. In the meantime, it is best to put it in a warm room to promote saccharification. If some barley malt can be added to the saccharified feed, the saccharification of the feed can be accelerated and the effect is better.
