This is a typical water town in the south of the Yangtze River, and this is Gao Yi Village in Huzhou. Gao Yi, an ancient village born in Lu 'an and thriving in Hong Kong. It is known as "the pearl in the cultural belt of Lu 'an Port".

? Gao Yi Village in Wuxing District, Zhejiang Province is adjacent to Taihu Lake, which is a typical spatial pattern of traditional villages and ponds in the south of Taihu Lake. The ancient trees, white walls, silk culture, fish culture, rice culture and other cultural landscapes that can be seen everywhere in the village, as well as the single-hole stone arch bridge "Shangyi Bridge" in the center of the village and the municipal protection point "Jia Fan Hall" in the Qing Dynasty all give visitors an antique feeling.

I benefited a lot from this visit to Gao Yi Village. I always think that the most intuitive result of rural revitalization is economic construction, and the most intuitive result of economic construction is architecture and environment. However, in the fast-paced modern times, it is undoubtedly wise for Gao Yi Village to skillfully preserve the ancient buildings, and rely on it to vigorously build an antique water town and develop tourism. Therefore, I think the most important thing to pay attention to in rural revitalization is that rural revitalization needs to be alert to "urban community reconstruction." Rural revitalization does not mean blindly "de-rusticizing" in rural architectural design, but should skillfully find the right road, create its own characteristics and preserve rural cultural memory. Gao Yi Village has achieved this, while revitalizing the countryside, it has well preserved its unique cultural memory, and its success is worth learning.
