Each letter has a different theme, but each letter really cares about their growth and their joys and sorrows. Like a wise old man, he taught his life experience to young students without reservation; Like a diligent gardener, he presents carefully picked flowers to strangers. Now 100 years have passed, and these letters still give people inspiration and strength. Read these twelve letters carefully, and you will appreciate beauty, philosophy, love and cherish life from between his lines.

What is the most common sentence about reading? "I am so busy, how can I have time to study!" Not only now, but also a hundred years ago. So at the beginning, Mr. Zhu answered the question of "no time to study" put forward by young students.

There are examples to prove that:

Franklin, an American writer, scientist and revolutionary, worked as a coolie in the printing bureau when he was young. He used his spare time to study and become a talent.

Dr. Sun Yat-sen has no leisure to run for the revolution, but he takes time to read a few pages every day. It can be seen from his General Plan for the Founding of the People's Republic of China and Sun Wen Theory that he is not an empty politician, but a real politician.

Teacher Wang gave us these two examples, in fact, it is to compare each of us with ourselves. Are we busier than Franklin and Sun Yat-sen and have no time to study? It can be seen that I have no time to study, but I don't want to study either. Those who really love and want to learn must try their best to find time. Didn't Mr. Lu Xun say? "Time is like water in a sponge. Just squeeze it. "

Next, Miss Wang told us "Why do you want to study?" What's the use of reading? There may still be people who have doubts about this until today. Mr. Wang said:

Reading can give you a spiritual sustenance. Without this sustenance, you may be tempted by bad habits. Therefore, people must cultivate their interest in reading when they are young. It has been said that young people enjoy themselves and go to school when they are old and have time to cultivate their self-cultivation. Mr. Zhu firmly denied this view. He believes that if you don't cultivate your interest in reading when you are young, you will never be interested in reading in the future. "Interest should be cultivated in youth, and it will fade after the normal season." For example, he said:

Darwin liked literature and music when he was young, but he left them behind because he wanted to concentrate on biology when he was young. When he is old, he wants to write poems for fun, but he can't find pleasure.

Learn to play tennis. If you liked it in middle school, you will always like it. If you miss high school and want to study again, I'm afraid it's harder than going to heaven.

In fact, such examples abound. Zhang Ailing and Su, "When you climb to the top of the mountain, you will know that other mountains are dwarfed." At the Winter Olympics, both of them fell in love with skiing when they were teenagers. Because I love it, I stick to it and work hard for it. Without this love as a teenager, it is absolutely impossible to be born from afar.

The third question: Is reading textbooks at school a study? Teacher Zhu told us from two aspects that reading textbooks is necessary, but it must not stop at textbooks. If you want to cultivate your interest in reading, you should start by reading extracurricular books.

The fourth question: reading is a must. Teacher Zhu didn't give us a list of books, but made suggestions:

Read a real book. What is a real book? It is from books that you can acquire accurate knowledge and absorb the spirit and methods of scholars. These books can shake your mind and stimulate your thinking.

Junior high school students should read more fictional words, and senior high school students should read words with theories. Why do you say that? Because students before the age of fifteen or sixteen have stronger perceptual thinking, they should develop their imagination; After the age of fifteen or sixteen, rational thinking has been strengthened, so we should pay attention to the development of understanding. Based on this principle, there are many imaginative works in our junior high school's required reading books, such as The Journey to the West's Flowers in the Mirror, Gulliver's Travels, Two Wan Li under the Sea, Harry Potter and so on. These are in line with the thinking characteristics of students now.
