Where is the hometown of tofu in Anhui?

The hometown of Anhui tofu is Huainan.

Qiji Town, panji district, Huainan City is a town famous for its tofu products at home and abroad. In Huainan City, Anhui Province, Liu An, king of Huainan in the era of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, invented Dan medicine, but accidentally made tofu. Now Huainan holds the China Tofu Culture Festival every two years.

In 2006, Huainan submitted the Letter on Declaring "the Hometown of Tofu in China" to the China Cuisine Association. After visiting Huainan, the inspection and accreditation team of China Cuisine Association submitted the inspection and accreditation report in accordance with the procedures and standards of "Administrative Measures for Unified Accreditation of China Cuisine Association" and "Administrative Measures for Accreditation of Cooking Hometown in China". According to the inspection team's opinion, and after 15 days of online publicity, China Cuisine Association decided to award the honorary title of "China Tofu Hometown, Huainan, Anhui".
