The "Mkapa African Wildlife Photography Competition" is named after the late African leader and former President of Tanzania, His Excellency Benjamin Mkapa, to commemorate his outstanding contributions to African nature conservation.

This photography exhibition is the first stop (Kunming Station) in the series of "China-Africa Biodiversity Conservation Science Popularization Activities" held in Kunming and Beijing.
