Is it better to take old photos with a camera or scan them?

If you want to input old photos into the computer, the best way is to use a scanner, but only if you have a scanner. I have used my camera to remake old photos, but the effect is not ideal, mainly because the lighting is not easy to master and the angle is difficult. Judging from the effect of the remake, I always feel a little hazy, and the color is very different from the original. However, it is difficult to see the difference between the scanned photos and the original photos, which is very clear and true, and the contrast with the camera remake is very obvious.

I used a tripod on Canon EOS 350D to shoot in the shed, and the scanner was Canon 5000f to scan with a flat panel. I don't think you can get a good result if you use a card machine. Of course, if you don't have high requirements for imported photos, you can retake them. After all, photos can still be imported into the computer.
