Luliang Dam covers an area of 77 1.99 square kilometers, ranking first among dams in Yunnan and larger than that in Singapore 100 square kilometers. Known as the largest dam in Yunnan and a bright pearl on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau.

Luliang county belongs to Qujing City, Yunnan Province, and luliang county is located in the east of Yunnan Province, and is known as the "Pearl of East Yunnan". The county seat is located in the upper reaches of Nanpanjiang River, with a length of 65.6 kilometers from east to west and a width of 62.8 kilometers from north to south. The elevation of the territory is 1840 meters, surrounded by mountains on all sides and an open and flat lake basin in the middle. It is the first flat dam in Yunnan Province.

Lvliang is one of the earliest developed areas in Yunnan. In the second year of Yuanfeng in the Western Han Dynasty (BC 109), Tongliao County was established, belonging to Yizhou County. The Eastern Jin Dynasty was renamed as Le Tong County, which was subordinate to Jianning County. Dali in the Song Dynasty was the department of temperature reduction (that is, one of the thirty-seven departments). In Yuan Dynasty, Lvliang was changed to Qujing Road. In the thirty-first year of Ming Hongwu (1398), Liu Liangwei was established. In the eighth year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1669), Wei was laid off and returned to Zhou, and moved to Zhou to govern the Acropolis. In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), it was renamed as Liuliang County, and in the second year of the Republic of China (19 13), it was renamed as luliang county. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it belonged to Yiliang area, and 1954 was changed to Qujing area. 1in may, 1997, Qujing was set up as a city, which was under the jurisdiction of Qujing city. The "Yan Yan Long Monument" in China witnessed the glorious history of Lvliang, and Lvliang is also the birthplace of Yan culture.
