Yu Yuan Garden

The upper floor is paved with five-color altar soil in the order of Dong Qing, Nanhong, Bai Xi, Beihei and Huangzhong, commonly known as "five-color soil", which symbolizes "all over the world, is it king soil?" In the center of the altar stands the "State Stone", also known as "Jiangshan Stone". The 12 spherical stone piers for railings are divided into 4 groups, 3 in each group, connected by iron pipes in the middle and with exits around. An ancestor's motto was engraved on the inside of eight stone pillars.
