What is the system in Myanmar?

Myanmar has just established a parliament, a human rights commission and allowed the establishment of trade unions under the interference of the West. In particular, the newly elected president put on a glamorous democratic coat, but the good times did not last long. President Aung San Suu Kyi was detained by the military in the coup.

After only 1 year and1/month of democracy, Myanmar has returned to the old road of military rule, which means that the road to democracy in Myanmar has been interrupted by military personnel. Military personnel do not want their power to be weakened by the elected government, but should safeguard their supreme power and interests.

At present, the status of Burmese soldiers is hard to shake, and the military controls Myanmar's national economy. Myanmar's most profitable industries, such as tobacco, mining, alcohol, hotels, aviation, banking and transportation, are all run by the military and retired veterans, and the military has thus gained a lot of income other than national defense and military expenditure.

At present, the highest power figure in Myanmar's military, that is, the No.1 military figure, is General Min Aung Lai, who is the chairman of the State Management Committee. His military posts are Commander-in-Chief of the National Defence Force and General of the Army.

General Min Anlai, who graduated from Yangon University with a major in law, hugged the thigh of General Than Shwe, commander-in-chief of the three armed forces of Myanmar military government and minister of national defense. Since then, he has served as commander-in-chief of the Myanmar Triangle Military Region, director of the second special situation of the National Defence Force and chief of staff of the National Defence Force.

General Miao Tunwu, former Director of Military Intelligence, Chairman of Myanmar's Chief Military Security Committee and Commander of Army Special Operations in the Staff Office of the Ministry of National Defense; When Miao Tunwu was a lieutenant general in the army, he led his troops to participate in the encirclement and suppression military operations against five local armed forces of Myanmar ethnic minorities, including Peng Jiasheng Kokang Allied Forces and Kachin Independence Army, and achieved good results, enjoying high prestige in the army.

When he was the chief of staff of the National Defence Force, he was promoted to general of the army. He is regarded by the outside world as the most promising candidate in the army to replace Minanglai who is about to retire. His position in the army has surpassed that of Lieutenant General Vinson, Minister of National Defense, and he has become the actual number two in the Myanmar military. /kloc-in February, 2000, Miao Tunwu was appointed as the Minister of National Defense by the Myanmar National Defence Force, and became a safe second person in the Myanmar military.
