What are the three major fleets of the China Navy?

1, North Sea Fleet

The North Sea Fleet is the earliest naval force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy, and it is also the only team of China Navy with nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines. Headquartered in Qingdao, Shandong Province, it has jurisdiction over Qingdao Base (Weihai and Jiaonan Marine Police District), Lushun Base (Dalian and Yingkou Marine Police District) and Huludao Base (Qinhuangdao and Tianjin Marine Police District). Among them, Huludao base is the home port of nuclear submarines, and the North Sea Fleet is responsible for the defense of the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea. Its main task is to guard the sea gateway of Beijing.

2. South China Sea Fleet

The South China Sea Fleet Command is located in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, and has jurisdiction over Zhanjiang Base (Zhanjiang and Beihai Marine Police Area), Guangzhou Base (Huangpu and Shantou Marine Police Area) and Yulin Base (Haikou and Xisha Marine Police Area). The South China Sea Fleet is responsible for the defense of the southwestern waters at the southern tip of the Taiwan Province Strait (connecting Nan 'ao Island in Guangdong Province and Maobizhou in Taiwan Province Province), including the Xisha Islands and Nansha Islands, and safeguarding China's maritime rights and interests in the South China Sea and island defense.

3. East China Sea Fleet

The East China Sea Fleet was established on April 23rd, 1949, originally based in Shanghai, and now headquartered in Ningbo, Zhejiang. It has jurisdiction over Shanghai base (Lianyungang, Wusong Marine Police Area), Zhoushan base (Dinghai, Wenzhou Marine Police Area) and Fujian base (Ningde, Xiamen Marine Police Area). The East China Sea Fleet is responsible for the defense of the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea to the north of the southern tip of the Taiwan Province Strait (connecting Nan 'ao Island in Guangdong and Maotoutou in Taiwan Province Province) and to the south of Lianyungang.
