1. According to the nature of military service, the current ranks of soldiers are divided into:

Senior noncommissioned officers: four-level noncommissioned officers who have been approved to enter five-level active service after the expiration of four-level active service are promoted to the rank of five-level noncommissioned officers; After the expiration of the fifth period of active service, a five-level non-commissioned officer who is approved to enter the sixth period of active service will be promoted to the rank of six-level non-commissioned officers.
Legal basis: Article 19 of the Military Service Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that the term of active service for conscripts is two years. Article 20 stipulates that conscripts who have completed active service may be changed to non-commissioned officers on their own initiative and with the approval of units at or above the regimental level according to the needs of the army. Non-commissioned officers take active service and implement a graded service system. The term of active service for non-commissioned officers is generally not more than 30 years, and the age is not more than 55 years.
