Why should public officials discourage relatives and friends from buying houses and speculating in real estate?

On April 7th, a newspaper reported that the Office of the People's Government of Anxin County, xiong'an new area, Hebei Province issued the Notice on Fully Promoting the Construction of New District and Doing the Current Key Work (hereinafter referred to as the Notice) to its subordinate units, requiring public officials to discourage relatives and friends, especially those from other places, from speculating in real estate.

In order to welcome the construction of xiong'an new area, Hebei Province, Anxin County, under the jurisdiction of xiong'an new area, suspended all real estate transactions as early as 20 16, but there were still buyers coming here. The local government stopped buying houses by hanging banners and broadcasting on the street.

According to the notice, the establishment of xiong'an new area in Hebei Province is a Millennium plan and a national event, and it is also a major historical project for the rebirth of Baiyangdian Lake in Anxin. The circular requires all departments to guide the broad masses of cadres and people to actively participate in this "major historical process and great practical activities" and make due contributions to the construction of innovative development demonstration zones that implement new development concepts.

This county has repeatedly called for mobilizing government officials and even party member cadres to support the construction of the new district. On March 27th, the Organization Department of Anxin County issued the Proposal on Launching the Special Remediation Action for Illegal Land Occupation and Illegal Construction in Urban and Rural Areas, which was aimed at Party committees at all levels in the county and party member.

In fact, prohibiting real estate speculation has become one of the main tasks of the counties under the jurisdiction of the new district. On the second day after the establishment of the new district, Anxin County held a real estate theme meeting, explicitly demanding that real estate speculation be prohibited.
