Difference between Xiamen Railway Station and Xiamen North Station

The difference between the two stations lies in their location, scale, convenient transportation and connection with the subway.

Xiamen North Station is located in jimei district, Xiamen City, Fujian Province. The new Xiamen North Station started construction in September 2007 and was officially put into use on April 26, 20 10.

2. Scale: Xiamen Station belongs to the first-class station, and it is the terminal of Fuxia section of yingtan-xiamen railway Hangzhou-Shenzhen line, mainly stopping at ordinary trains. The station is relatively small, with 5 platforms and 9 passenger trains. Xiamen North Station is one of the important passenger stations on the coastal passage in the national high-speed railway network planning, and it is a large-scale transportation hub integrating the functions of railways, urban roads, long-distance buses, rail transit transfer and commercial services. It mainly stops at bullet trains and high-speed trains, and the station yard is relatively large, with a total construction area of 379,900 square meters. The station yard scale is 13 sets of 27 lines.

Xiamen North Station is a little far from the city center, located in the suburbs outside the island.
