Popularizing the national common language and promoting rural revitalization

The Project of Popularizing and Upgrading the National Common Language and Characters and the Plan of Popularizing and Helping Rural Revitalization were put forward after in-depth study according to the spirit of "Important Speech at the Conference to Celebrate the Founding of the Communist Youth League of China100th Anniversary". The implementation needs to strengthen the popularization of common language in ethnic areas and rural countries, serve the construction of Chinese national identity consciousness and help the implementation of rural revitalization strategy. As college students, they should respond to the call of the country, actively participate in serving the rural areas, and forge ahead courageously on the new journey of realizing the Chinese nation's great rejuvenation of the Chinese dream. On June 24th, the School of Water Conservancy of North China University of Water Conservancy and Hydropower, with the theme of "Youth Responsibility Helps Rural Revitalization", went to ethnic areas and rural areas to carry out research activities on the national common language.

Today is the fifth day of social practice. On the morning of June 24, the team members were ready to go and started a day of practical activities. Today's task is to go to the surrounding ethnic areas or rural areas to investigate the use of the national common language by local residents. Under the instructions of the captain, the team members started today's street research task, keeping in mind the epidemic prevention and control, safety issues and etiquette issues. Some members of the practice team ask questions through questionnaires, and some conduct research and investigation through interviews, seminars and other communication methods. The players' Putonghua is relatively standard, and most of them have achieved the second standard level of Putonghua. Players in ethnic areas have mastered both the national common language and minority languages, making communication more convenient. However, during the investigation, we also found that there are still many elderly people who can't use the national common language very well and have not mastered it well. Not only the elderly in ethnic minority areas, but also many middle-aged people, Mandarin is not very standard and difficult to use.

The students walked in the street in the scorching sun, and many players were already sweating. However, every player's face is full of smiles. Participating in practice made the players deeply understand the meaning of life. During the investigation, they also learned a lot of interesting dialects, from which they realized the joy and happiness of harvest. Through the investigation, we can find out the promotion of local Putonghua, the use, learning situation and learning needs of the national common language of key groups, and provide relevant reference data for popularizing and helping rural revitalization.
