The Historical Evolution of Shawan Primary School

Shawan Primary School, in the thirty-fourth year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1908), Shawan villagers Liu, Liu, Liu Yinfeng founded Shaxi public second-class primary school, and villagers donated land for foundation and playground. In the second year of Xuantong (19 10), the school building was destroyed and closed due to the "bamboo donation" incident; China recovered in two years (1913); 3 years, with the approval of the founder, it was changed to the second higher primary school in the county; In 12, it was changed to County No.2 Primary School, and in 19, it was renamed County No.2 Primary School. In 24 years, when the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants advanced into Shawan Village, it left a slogan of "Soviet Defending School" to publicize the consistent policy of the China Production Party on education; In 29 years, it was called Shaxi Central Primary School and later renamed Shaxi Township Central Ethnic School. In 32-33 (1943- 1944), it was a primary school attached to Hu Xiang Normal University, and later it was changed to Lishaxi Township Central Ethnic School.

During the period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, it was the propaganda base of the county political work team, and the education of patriotism and democratic thought was active. In 37 years, the school became the secret contact point of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. On the eve of liberation, according to the instructions of the Party, the school established the "Liberation Drama Club", which toured 24 townships.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was successively called Shawan Primary School, Shaxi District Central Primary School and Shawan District Central School. Is a primary school with a long history and high teaching quality in the southwest of the county. School facilities and teachers are equipped with key points. All the old school buildings were demolished and built. The new campus covers an area of 3,065 square meters with a building area of 2,278 square meters. The school has optimized the experience of school education management around the moral education center as a whole, and compiled it into the book "Experience of Contemporary Primary Education in China". Shawan Primary School has passed the whole100th anniversary in 2008.
