You can call me Xiaoqian or Qian Dao. I am honored and happy to serve you. If you have any questions, you can ask me. I will try my best to meet your reasonable requirements.
Meeting is a kind of fate. I hope everyone will care about each other and pay attention to safety during the meeting, leaving a beautiful and unforgettable memory for this journey.
As we all know, there are four treasure houses of stone carving art in China. They are the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, Gansu, Yungang Grottoes in Datong, Shanxi, Maijishan Grottoes in Tianshui, Gansu, and the Longmen Grottoes that we are going to visit today.
Longmen Grottoes, located at 13 km south of Luoyang, consists of two mountains, one of which is Xiangshan, named after an aromatic plant growing on the ancient mountains. The other is Xishan, which is the main scenic spot we visited today. Most statues, caves and monuments are built on the western hills. According to legend, these two mountains are one mountain. When Dayu controlled the water, he thought it would stop flooding the fields, so he cut it in half with a big axe and turned it into two mountains.
Longmen Grottoes were built around the time when Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty moved to Luoyang during the Taihe period (447-499). After several dynasties, they were excavated for more than 400 years, with a history of 1500 years. At present, there are more than100000 Buddha statues, more than 265,438+000 Buddhist caves and shrines, and more than 3,600 inscriptions. Most of the statues in the caves were excavated during the Wei Dynasty in Hebei Province in the Tang Dynasty, of which two thirds were from the Tang Dynasty and one third from the Northern Wei Dynasty.
Longmen Grottoes are the crystallization of the wisdom and artistic practice of the people in ancient Mobei, which can be called the treasure house of sculpture art in China, and provide extremely rich materials for the study of ancient history, culture, Buddhism, sculpture and costumes in China. It is a model of combining Buddhism with China culture after it was introduced into China.
Dear friends, now you have come to Qianxi Temple, the largest cave at the northern end of Longmen Grottoes. This is a cave carved in the early days of Tang Gaozong. The main Buddha in the cave is Amitabha. Her face is full, her shoulders are generous, and her clothes are neat and smooth. On the left of the main Buddha is the estate of the great disciple, on the right is the little disciple Ananda, and the two sons on both sides are Guanyin Bodhisattva and Megatrend Bodhisattva respectively. Qianxi Temple Cave is 19 meters high, and it is a great trend bodhisattva.
Now, the three caves in front of us are collectively called Binyang Three Caves, and the middle cave was built by Xuan Wudi for his father Emperor Xiaowen and his mother Zhao Wen in the Northern Wei Dynasty. The three walls in the cave are connected with the Buddha statues in the past, from south to north, and now they are even connected with the Buddha statues of Sakyamuni and Maitreya completed in the middle of the 6th century, which shows the superb level of artistic development in China Grottoes.
In front is the stone Bugeda Cave, with 15000 small Buddha statues carved neatly on both sides. Hence the name Shibuda Cave, which is one of the best preserved caves in Longmen Grottoes.
Walking up the steps, we now see Fengxian Temple, which is the largest grotto in Longmen Grottoes and the most representative sculpture in the Tang Dynasty. The main Buddha in the cave, Lushena Buddha, is 17. 14 meters high, with a head of 4 meters high and a length of 7.9 meters. It is the largest statue in Longmen Grottoes.
Look at the Buddha's head drooping slightly, looking down and drooping eyes, as if paying attention to all beings in the world. Bowing one's head and hanging one's eyes is the essence of the whole Lushena Buddha, and it is also the crowning touch of sculpture. Lu Shena Buddha's eyes, using the refraction of light and the knife method of intaglio carving, carved the eyeball into a concave front, while keeping the pupil part' protruding'. Using the contrast of light, it has already existed. His wise eyes meet the worshippers' pious eyes, which can arouse people's emotional shock. The overall layout of Fengxian Temple seems to be an omen of Huang's civil and military officials. It is not only the representative of sculpture art in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, but also a masterpiece in the history of human art, with eternal artistic charm and aesthetic value!
All right, ladies and gentlemen, that's all for today. We will set aside two hours for a free visit. In two hours, we will take a souvenir at Longmen Grottoes.

There are different postures, some look into the distance, as if watching the scenery; Some are armed and very fierce; Some people put their hands together as if chanting.
Next, we are going to the Wanfo Cave. The Ten Thousand Buddha Cave is like a big concave dish, and the largest Buddha statue in it is 30 meters high. It sits on a huge lotus, with kind eyes and a smile on its mouth, as if guarding Luoyang City.
Finally, everyone followed me to Binyang South Cave. The Buddha statues in Binyang South Cave are very dense, one after another, so dense that there is no gap. There are dozens of lotus flowers in the grottoes here, and the lotus flowers are lifelike, just like real ones. There are so many lotus flowers, it will be crowded to press this one again.
