Bazhou is a county-level city with a long history, superior location and rapid development.

Bazhou City is located in the east of Jizhong Plain in Hebei Province, in the center of the triangle of Beijing, Tianjin and Baoding, and belongs to the urban agglomeration around Beijing, Tianjin and Bohai Sea. Manchu mainly lives in Chaheji Township, Bazhou Town, Nanmeng Town and Kangxianzhuang Township. Mongolians mainly gather in Chahe Township; Tujia people mainly live in Fangsheng Town.

There are eight minority village streets in the city, namely, the first and second streets in Bazhou Town, the last two villages in Jianchapu Town, Guangming Street and Jianshe Street in Xin 'an Town, Yin Hua Village in Tangerli Town, Minqiang Street in Fangsheng Town and Baixi Village (Manchu Village) in Chaheji Township.
