Wet garbage, also known as kitchen waste and organic garbage, refers to perishable domestic garbage such as food waste, melons and fruits, flowers and green plants.

Organic garbage is organic matter that can be decomposed in daily life garbage, including some food residues, vegetable leaves, vegetable roots and so on. Organic garbage should be collected by professionals, and the collection container must be sealed, capped and leak-free.

Garbage is solid waste produced by residents' daily life and production activities, and its composition is very complicated. Organic garbage is perishable, low in calorific value and rich in organic matter, so it is difficult to properly treat it by conventional landfill and incineration. Therefore, other methods have been adopted:

1. As an organic fertilizer: organic garbage is perishable and contains some pathogenic microorganisms, but it is rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. It can be composted at high temperature to kill pathogenic microorganisms and some pests, decompose organic garbage and make it easily absorbed and utilized by plants.

2. Fuel oil: organic wastes are pyrolyzed or hydrogenated at high pressure and high temperature to make fuel oil.

3. Alcohol production: Organic garbage can be hydrolyzed and fermented by adding a little sulfuric acid at high temperature to obtain an alcohol solution.
