The ancient town of Xingping in Yangshuo has a unique charm in the rain.

As early as the first year of Wu Ganlu in the Three Kingdoms (AD 265), Xingping Market Town was ruled by Xiping County and was under the jurisdiction of Yangshuo. In the tenth year of Sui Dynasty (AD 590), xiping county was abolished and moved to Yangshuo County, and Xingping was under the jurisdiction of Yangshuo County at that time. There are not only eight scenic spots and twenty-four scenic spots, such as Jiuma Painting Mountain, Luosi Mountain, Lotus Rock, Tianshuizhai and Lingbaoge, but also Tengjiao Temple in Ming Dynasty (1998). In July, then US President Bill Clinton visited the Lijiang River and Xingping Fishing Village, which attracted many Chinese and foreign tourists to follow the president's footsteps.

Down the river from Di Yang, I drifted to Xingping Wharf and landed, and it began to rain again. As an ancient town, when you arrive in Xingping, you can't miss the old streets and alleys here.

The most famous scenic spots in Lijiang, such as Jiuma Huashan and Huangbu, are all concentrated in Xingping.

The old street is long and Gu Xiang is deep. Walking into the ancient town in the rain is an opportunity and a pleasure. Walking on the stone road of the ancient town, I forgot the disturbance of the bustling city. The tranquility of the ancient town was my first impression.

It is common for an ancient town with a history and a story not to be fastidious. Xingping ancient town is small in scale. Qingshiban Road is a flat old street, but the length is more than one kilometer. On both sides of the street, there are stages in the Tang and Song Dynasties, buildings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, ruins of Xiping County and temples, which still exist today.

Most of the old buildings in the ancient town are brick structures, most of which are well preserved. On the southeast side of the old street, there is a xiping county site of Cross Dan. The outline of the city wall is still very clear, but unfortunately we can't go because of the heavy rain and time. It doesn't make sense to have a quick look at the flowers, but you can feel the comfort and tranquility of the ancient town, which is also called glad that you came.

The quaint town has both historical vicissitudes and fashion elements. Perhaps this is also the fun of visiting the ancient town. The famous host of CCTV visited Songhua Sugar Store. The shopkeeper made a large photo of the group photo and hung it on the storefront to attract tourists.
