San Mao wrote in the lyrics: "Don't ask me where I come from, my hometown is far away. Why wander, wander far away ... "This is her own voice, and she has been thinking about the philosophical question of where she came from.

Sanmao was born in Chongqing. She moved around with her parents since childhood, and then moved to Taiwan Province. As an adult, she traveled across the ocean and visited many countries, including Spain, Sahara and Canary Islands. I have been wandering for decades, pursuing her poems and the distance. The hometown of the soul may be in a corner that I have never been to. In April 1989, 46-year-old San Mao returned to Dinghai, Zhoushan, Zhejiang for the first time. San Mao wants to talk about too many experiences about the place where the root vein of the Chen family is buried. When she went to the ancestral temple to worship her ancestors, she cried at her grandfather's grave.

In addition, she paid a special visit to Mr. Zhang Leping, the author of San Mao's Wandering Tales. Although they have never met before, they cried because their works met and embraced each other. For Yu Sanmao, this is where her dream of wandering started when she was a child. Sanmao liked reading The Wandering of Sanmao when he was very young, and he liked the image of Sanmao very much, so he gave himself the pseudonym Sanmao.

San Mao misses his hometown, and his hometown also commemorates San Mao. In recent years, Sanmao Prose Award was held in Dinghai, Zhejiang Province, which not only commemorates Sanmao, a talented woman in literature, but also continues and encourages her creative talents.

2. Looking for a relative in Madrid

If Dinghai, Zhejiang Province is Sanmao's first hometown, then Madrid is her second hometown, because that's where she met, knew and fell in love with her lover Jose.
